Spring Photography and Important Update!

Tuesday 31 March 2015
Hello everyone, hope your doing well. I'm so sorry about the lack of posts (said that in my last post as well I know) but I've been super sick for ages and it's just been one of those weeks were I just haven't felt like blogging. Luckily the other day I went for a walk with my dog and took some cool photography. It's not like my usual stuff but it's a good to have a change once in a while:)

IMPORTANT UPDATE!:
I have also been super busy making a YOUTUBE! It was a big step from pictures (you can edit!) to video but it's so fun to film and edit! There's a bug where I cannot post the video here but I will post a link to my channel below if you want to have a look:)

Wardrobe Essentials: Black Boots

Saturday 21 March 2015

If you've been following me for a little while, you'll be aware of my obsession with black boots. Sandal, Walking boot, army boot, I love them all! In my opinion they are a staple for any wardrobe. In the morning, I love to chuck a pair on to complete my preppy outfit. Today I thought I'd share with you my small but cute collection haha.

(Most pairs are from primark, new look and topshop)

Keeping Your Blog Organised

Saturday 14 March 2015

I think every blogger is guilty of this. Your blog is just not organised! Posts here, idea's there, it just doesn't feel all together. I will put my hands up and say I'm guilty of this too. I thought I would help my fellow bloggers and put up my best tips to keep your blog fully organised.

One thing I love to do is write all the idea's floating around my head down. I purchased this cute notebook a few weeks ago and I am in love with it! You can also use your notebook for other things such as normal to do lists and homework tasks. It's also a great excuse to go stationary shopping!

Another thing I like to do is write everything down on my phone. Scheduled days, ideas and possible photos. Some amazing apps for this are evernote and vesper. I'm pretty sure everyone is always on their phone, so you have no excuse for missing a blog day!

Something I'm always doing is scheduling posts. You have an event coming up on that all important blogging sunday? Schedule a post! It's as easy as that. I know I'm usually always free on sunday so I like to stack up on posts then.

Hope this tips helped you keep on tip top schedule for your blog! I always would like to know what your tricks are so leave those in the comments.

My Wish List (March 2015)

Tuesday 10 March 2015

Disney Teddies
So the other day, I got rid of a ton of my old toys. I realised to myself that I do not have enough disney ones! And then I watched gabby's (velvetgh0st) new video and saw her collection and I just needed some! Come on, your never too old for disney!

Floppy Hat (is that what you call them?)
I have seen this hat's EVERYWHERE but I dont know where to find them! They just look so classy and elegant, I need one asap!

Polariod Camera
Pretty much every beauty blogger wants one, a polariod camera. I feel like I could capture the most special of moments on this tiny thing and then keep them forever. Time to save up Eva!
White Floaty Top
Okay this ones random, but it's heading towards spring time and I feel like it's kind of an essential. I love the way they are layer-able and airy. Need!
Mirror lights
Another random one! I saw these lights in ikea and they are just perfect! Imagine doing your makeup with this bad boy! Ugh!

And that's it! I really need to save up my pennies haha!

Lush: Bubblegum Lip Scrub Review

Saturday 7 March 2015

I cannot tell you how long I have wanted this product! Every single review of this seems to be great, so I decided to purchase it for the rather (in my opinion) expensive price of £5.50

The texture of this scrub is surprisingly harsh and gritty. I was expecting something a little more soft to be honest. I have to say the colour is absolutely gorgeous (a neon pink).

The first few weeks of using this were excellent. I used it almost everyday and my lips felt beautifully soft. It made my lipstick glide on like applying moisturiser.

Then the problems began. It wasn't gradual at all and only occurred suddenly one day. I applied the scrub as usual and noticed the first surface of my lips slowly peeling off. Gross I know! My lips were horribly dry and sore after that and have been since. All day I was having to bite skin off my lips! I was generally really disappointed as I was not expecting this.

I have to comment on the taste too. It's just not my cup of tea. It is very very sweet and makes me cringe when I'm licking it off of my lips. I'm rubbish at describing things like taste so I cannot really describe it!

PROS: beautifully soft lips within the first week (but beware haha!)
CONS: taste, price and after effects
I think I will be trying the popcorn lip scrub as it looks more for me!

So if you've tried this, what do you think? Did it work for you or are you not a fan at all? Tell me in the comments!

5 Steps To The Perfect Manicure At Home!

Sunday 1 March 2015

As a troubled nail-painter, I know it's hard getting the perfect tumblr-like manicure. You try and try again to the coats right but every single time you manage to get the main coat all over your hand. Don't fret any longer, as I have my top 5 steps to a perfect manicure. And the best part is, it's all free at home!
 Step 1: Prepare!
Everyone knows there is no point doing the job if you don't do it properly. Shape your nails with a file and apply your favourite moisturiser to your hands. I love smitten by lush!
Step 2: All About That Base
Start your polish journey by applying the base. If you get a little on your cuticle or over the finger nail it doesn't matter that much as the base is transparent. That's why I love this step so much!
Step 3: COLOUR!
Although this is the hardest step, I love picking out my favourite shade. It changes every time I do it! Try and get as close to the cuticle as possible, and don't worry if you get it a little over. Just dip a -tip in nail polish and clear up excess. It's as easy as that! Also, make your first coat quite thick as then your second coat won't be as hard to apply.
Step 4: Top Coat
Whether your going for matte or normal, this step is just as easy as the second. Just make sure your colour is dry or face the consequences! I like to put my nails (this sounds weird but trust me!) in the freezer for about a minute and when I take them out my nails are completely dry.

Step 5: Enjoy!
Okay, I know this isn't really a step but I love it when I look at the final product and it's good, who doesn't? Now go and flash your fabulous manicure!
